Structural Damage in the Tribulation Period

The construction of buildings across the Middle East and Far East have building codes that are either non-existent, or pathetic, regarding their ability to withst
and earthquake damage.
Anything above a magnitude 5 can cause the complete collapse of many buildings near
the epicenter. It is quite impossible to imagine the horrifying destruction that is going to tear across this area for some three and one half years prior to the final battle of Armageddon.
When the antichrist stands on the temple mount and sends out the call for the final battle of Armageddon, this area will be leveled by chains of earthquakes rippling through the Middle East and Asia much greater than magnitude 5. Even as I was preparing this article to put up today, a second earthquake greater than magnitude 6 was occurring in Iran. Knowing the construction of the buildings in the area of the quake, I am sure it will be as bad, or worse, than the Chinese quake. The following Scriptures picture the future aforementioned chaos associated with
the latter part of
the tribulation period.
Daniel 11:45 to 12:1 – And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him. [1] And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall
be found written in the book.
Matthew 24:21,22 – For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. [22] And except those days should be shortened,
there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
Revelation 16:16-19 – And he gathered them together into a place called
in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. [17] And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
[18] And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so
great. [19] And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
The following news article by the Associated Press in the Jerusalem Post demonstrates how much damage a moderate earthquake can produce in an area of brittle buildings.
