Negotiating with People of the Beast
That Dwell in the Lands of the Middle East
Where on Doctrines of Devils they do all Feast
But by buzzards of warfare their flesh will Cease!

The seat of the beast’s spiritual kingdom is located in the Middle East in those nations touched by the great Euphrates River, such as the Allah worshipping peoples of Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Iran. It was there when the Book of Daniel was written during the great Babylonian and Persian Empires, and is there today as the heartbeat of Islamic fanaticism. We are currently attempting to negotiate with physical nations in that area that are empowered by the spirit of antichrist in their religious beliefs.
Ephesians 6:12 – For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Revelation 16:10-14 – And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, [11] And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds. [12] And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. [13] And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. [14] For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
The United States, Israel, and our few Allies, are not dealing with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. They are dealing with nations and terror groups possessed by demons directed by the Devil. The world is in the process of seeking a solution to a world situation that has no solution, and most of those who have their faith in Christ for salvation are hoping the final war of this age, and the Second Advent of Jesus Christ, will not occur until they grow old, and can enjoy all the pleasures of seeing their children and grandchildren become believers.
This is certainly not my rebuke to those who feel this way, because it is quite normal for the old man of our physical birth to want the Second Advent somewhere way on down the road.
They want it – BUT NOT NOW. It is very difficult for most believers to accept that this age is about to end, but I assure you, even though one cannot tell precisely when the following prophetic Psalm will be put in the actual motion of fulfillment, I am certain it is not a “distant” event. I have tried to warn as many as would listen of the Middle East Events that give positive assurance it is not “distant,” but “near,” and with each passing week the event is drawing nearer.
Please read the following prophetic Psalm, then be honest with yourself, and ask yourself if this is not precisely the world situation that exists worldwide today among the nations and terror groups of the world.
It is certainly the time that the lost need to put their faith in God’s Son to save them from eternal damnation and, for those who have already been saved by God’s amazing grace in His Son, it is time to “kiss the Son,” by honoring him
in the fellowship of worshipping God in one of his local churches that teaches the truth. Please take the time to read the next two passages of Scripture, because time is something you are running out of in this age.
Psalm 2:1-12 – Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? [2] The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, [3] Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. [4] He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. [5] Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. [6] Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. [7] I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. [8] Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. [9] Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. [10] Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. [11] Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice
with trembling. [12] Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
John 4:23,24 – But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. [24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
THE END OF THE EVIL AXIS
I believe Revelation 16:8-15 describes the end of this evil axis from Hell at the final battle of the age of the Gentiles, the
battle of Armageddon, which ends with the Second Advent of Jesus Christ. But those who hold their belief in the doctrines of Devils will not repent, even in the midst of the horror described.
Revelation 16:8-16 – And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. [9] And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. [10] And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, [11] And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds. [15] Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth h
is garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. [16] And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Pyongyang and Damascus
April 26, 2008
THE WASHINGTON TIMES EDITORIAL – The new information about Syrian-North Korean nuclear weapons collaboration is a devastating blow to the Bush State Department’s efforts to use the six-party talks to rehabilitate Kim Jong-il’s Stalinist regime. Over the past year, since the February 2007 signing of an agreement in which North Korea agreed to dismantle its nuclear weapons programs, Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian Affairs Christopher Hill has attempted to negotiate concrete steps to end the weapons activities in exchange for economic and diplomatic concessions that would end Pyongyang’s isolation. But, as these negotiations unfolded, serious questions have (not surprisingly) risen about North Korea’s intentions and Washington’s ability to verify completely that North Korea has ended its weapons programs and is not involved in proliferation.
Despite the administration’s current spin campaign, that goal seems farther away than ever now that the White House has briefed Congress about North Korean-Syrian collaboration and the Sept. 6, 2007, Israel Air Force raid that destroyed Syria’s Al Kibar nuclear facility. A video provided by U.S. intelligence agencies and shown to reporters and senior congressional representatives who were briefed on Thursday demonstrates that the Syrian facility had no means of producing civilian electricity. Its actual purpose was to produce plutonium. One indication that Syrian-North Korean nuclear cooperation was not peaceful in nature was the presence in Syria of Chon Chibu, who overseas North Korea’s Yongbyon reactor-fuel plant and has participated in the six-party talks aimed at ending North Korea’s nuclear weapons programs. The video shows Mr. Chon meeting in Syria with Ibrahim Othman, head of Syria’s Atomic Energy Commission.
Unfortunately, the administration (which only made the evidence about Al Kibar public after receiving pressure from Capitol Hill) remains determined to go to extraordinary lengths to give North Korea the benefit of the doubt. The Bush administration says that in response to criticism from Capitol Hill, it is renegotiating a tentative agreement with North Korea to provide better verification safeguards. But Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice last week suggested that the administration wants to remove North Korea from the U.S. terrorism list — a critical U.S. negotiating card — before verification is completed. That would be a serious mistake.
One bright spot is that Congress has suddenly become much more energetic about performing its oversight responsibilities when it comes to North Korea. On the Senate side, 14 Republican senators have written President Bush expressing well-founded concerns that the weak U.S. negotiating posture with Mr. Kim’s regime sends the wrong message to Tehran.
And Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Joseph Biden has rightly stated that Washington should not lift sanctions on Pyongyang unless it is verified to be out of the proliferation business. Congress must demand that the administration provide a full accounting of North Korea’s proliferation activities.

How to Make Deals with Devils
Leslie H.
Gelb
Washington sages are now debating whether to negotiate with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran or with Hamas; some are considering trying to reconcile with supposedly repentant Islamist insurgents in Iraq and Taliban fighters in Afghanistan. The U.S. almost always deals with devils at some point or another. There is no alternative if a president wants to test nonmilitary solutions to the nastiest of problems. The real issue is not whether to talk to the bad guys but how, under which conditions, with which mix of pressure and conciliation, and with what degree of expectation that the bad guys will keep their word.
Does this mean that we should just talk to every devil, no matter how evil? No. There is a crucial difference between a bad man and a madman. If that line is crossed, there really isn’t much sense in negotiating.
Hitler’s rhetoric, fanatical anti-Semitism and palpable aggression were beyond debate, and it was self-delusion to think he could ever be remotely reasonable. The same can be said of the words and deeds of Osama bin Laden – and probably those of Ahmadinejad and Khaled Meshal, the exiled leader of Hamas, as well. To deal with these detestable fanatics without any real prospects for a breakthrough serves only to legitimize and empower them.
But their followers are not monolithic. It’s almost always worth exploring the cracks and crevices for people who are disillusioned, tired or just plain ambitious.
Even devils have interests other than threatening the U.S. The writer is president emeritus of the Council on Foreign Relations.
