Positioning for Armageddon at a Point in Time between 2012 and 2016!

I believe this latest development in YNET NEWS is a positioning of the future combatants in the final battle of this age, namely, the battle identified in Revelation as
the battle of Armageddon. My guesstimate for the start of the war associated with th is final battle, as you know,
is at some point in time between 2008 and the end of 2012.
The battle of Armageddon will mark the end of that war, the end of the Age of the Gentiles, and the Second Advent of Christ. All this is speculation on my part.
It is a guess, no more and no less, but all the ingredients and positioning of the prophesied nations to be involved in it are drawing together, such that it cannot be an event in the far distant future – it is on the near horizon.
Revelation 16:15,16 – Behold, I come as a thief.
Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth h
is garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. [16] And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
Daniel 12:1 –And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Russian Navy to Operate from Syria
Aryeh Egozi and Alex Fishman
(Ynet News)
For the first time since
the fall of the Iron Curtain, Russia plans to operate the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean using Syrian ports as permanent bases.
According to Western media reports, Syria plans to let the Russians use its ports as part of the large arms deal signed between the two countries in the past year after they resolved their financial differences.
The Russians conceded more than 70% of Syria’s $11 billion debt. The remaining debt will be returned by Syria partly through permanent port services to Russian Navy ships in Latakia and Tartus.
Israeli officials estimated on Sunday that renewed bases in Syria will help the Russians carry out spy missions also against Israel, particularly electronic spying.
