SPECIAL PROPHECY UPDATE NUMBER 137C
September 16, 2003
The Messenger of the Covenant Messenger
We covered the first phrase of John 1:23 and Isaiah 40:3 in Part 1 of Prophecy Update 137B. We will deal with the second phrase in Part 2, which follows.
John the Baptist was the first Elijah to all those who put their faith in the covenant messenger Jesus, of whom he testified, because John was the messenger sent before him. But Herod, the King of Israel, cut off the head of the messenger, and Israel cut off the covenant messenger on the cross. The second Elijah will be one of the two witnesses in the Negev, and will be the Elijah of all who believe his message that the messenger of the covenant is about to appear again at his Second Advent.
John 1:23 – He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.
Isaiah 40:3 – The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert A HIGHWAY for our God.
Malachi 4:5 – Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
There will be a literal HIGHWAY formed through the wastelands from Assyria (northern Iraq) into the land of Egypt, with Israel sitting between Iraq and Egypt as the ruling nation among all nations. The creation of this HIGHWAY will be made possible by the great geological upheavals, which are vividly described in Birth Pangs Numbers 21 and 22 in the Birth Pang Archives, and give graphic details of the events associated with these great transformational changes. All of the massive topographical changes in Israel are produced totally by the power of God during the tribulation period. Pictorial Diagrams of these changes may be found under Birth Pang Figures on the Menu of our Cover Page. The description in detail of each one of the prophetic changes may be found in Birth Pangs 14A to 32 in our Birth Pangs Archive.
Isaiah 11:15,16 – And the Lord shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod. [16] And there shall be AN HIGHWAY for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt. (See Birth Pang Numbers 21 and 22 located in the Birth Pang Archive)
Isaiah 19:23-25 – In that day shall there be A HIGHWAY out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians. [24] In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: [25] Whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
Isaiah 27:12,13 – And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt and ye shall be gathered one by one O ye children of Israel. [13] And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
This will be the time of God’s tabernacling with Israel for a thousand years on this present earth. This series on a tabernacle subject began with Prophecy Update 137, and is programmed to continue for some time, being issued normally every Thursday or Friday Night.
Isaiah 4:2-6 – In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel. [3] And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: [4] When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. [5] And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion and upon her assemblies a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night for upon all the glory shall be a defence. [6] And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.
Zechariah 14:16 – And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Amos 9:11-15 – In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: [12] That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the Lord that doeth this. [13] Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. [14] And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. [15] And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God. (See Birth Pang Number 32 in the Birth Pang Archives)
