We Have Iran Right Where They Want Us!

With some 22 months left in the President’s term, a small crack opened in hard line U.S. administration Iranian diplomacy, and this opening is likely to eventually produce a way for a tactical withdrawal from Iraq, with a smaller number of American casualties. The Republican Party
has no desire to leave a bad taste in voter’s mouths for 2008, and wants to enhance the future possibility of a return
to power. A graceful withdrawal from Iraq, without an immediate Iranian takeover, would certainly be to the Republican’s advantage in future elections.
It is also worth mentioning that a false peace hudna between Israel and the PA (Hamas plus Fatah), prior to the President’s departure from his office, would be a feather in
his cap, and a joy to the Republican Party.
The Republican Party is looking for all the pluses it can get to cancel out as much of
its declining popularity as possible.
Any form of apparent peace or stability in Israel and the Middle East would be a boon to the politicians of the Western World.

In a sharp policy reversal, the US joins Iraq in a new initiative to invite Iran and Syria to a “neighbors meeting” in Baghdad next month
February 27, 2007, 10:30 PM (GMT+02:00)
US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice said Tuesday, Feb.
27: “We hope that all governments seize this opportunity to improve their relations with Iraq and to work for peace and stability in the region.”
Until now, the Bush administration had resisted calls to include Iran and Syria in diplomatic efforts to stabilize Iraq.
In Baghdad, the Iraqi government announced the meeting would take place in mid-March with the participation of members of the Arab League and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council.
Rice said it would be held at sub-ministerial level, to be followed perhaps in April by a full ministerial-level meeting of the same countries, plus G-8 Group members.
