Easter – The Lamb’s Love in I Corinthians 13:13!

EASTER – THE LAMB’S LOVE IN I CORINTHIANS 13:13!

The God-Man’s Love is the Story of Lamb’s Passover
I Corinthians 13:13 – And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

The Godhead fulfilled the Office as the Lamb Son
John 10:15 – As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

John identified the Lamb Son Office He would Fulfill
John 1:29 – The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Isaiah tells us Why the Lamb Man had to Do It
Isaiah 53:6 – All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

John tells us the relationship the Lamb wants with all he saves
John 15:12-14 – This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. [13] Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. [14] Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

John tells us of a Lamb relationship he wants twixt His Disciples
John 13:34,35 – A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. [35] By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

John tells us our flesh cannot keep his commandment
John 3:6,7,27 – That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. [7] Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. [27] John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
John 6:63 – It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Paul asks a question: Were you baptized for a dead man?
I Corinthians 15:12-22,29 – Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? [13] But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: [14] And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. [15] Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. [16] For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: [17] And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. [18] Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. [19] If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. [20] But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. [21] For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. [22] For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. [29] Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?

Paul makes the point – Believing He is alive to hear you causes you to call on him to save you.
Romans 10:9-17 – That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. [11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. [12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. [13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. [14] How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? [15] And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! [16] But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? [17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Isaiah 53 is quite clear that when you call upon the living Lamb of God to save you, believing he is alive, that you have obeyed the gospel.
Acts 4:12 – Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
John 5:40 – And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
John 10:28 – And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
