After all these years of Hamas bluntly stating: “We will never recognize the right of Israel to exist as a State in Palestine, and we will continue to use violence against them
as long as they are in Palestine, which is our land, would you believe that there are some people who think they will? Is that possible? Well, just about anything is possible in the wild and wooly, anything could happen, ever changing, Middle East, but if that should happen, the nuts who believed it could, will then believe it will work, and Hamas and Israel will happily ever after as the tooth fairy flies over them pushing an “easy” button if she sees any trouble between them. I have often mused at the expression, “you are very opinionated,” because, in most cases, the one who uses it is more opinionated that the one to whom it was spoken.
Opinions, on specific interpretations of individual Scriptures, whether it be by book, chapter, and verse, including mine and yours, are indeed, at best, opinions and, like a heart, everybody that studies Scripture has one. Even though there are wide variations in what people believe as to the Middle East situation, I doubt if there are very many who believe it is going to have a Mother Goose ending where everybody is touched by the wand of the fairy princess, changing their personalities to good, and they will live happily after. This whole maze of confusion is definitely heading for a showdown, and the only question that remains unsettled is WHEN. Only God knows for sure WHEN! I do SPECULATE WHEN, but it is only OPINION – it is that, nothing more, and
nothing less. My guesstimate, as you know, is that Israel will initially be attacked at some point in time between 2008 and 2012. BUT I WATCH DAILY FOR THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST, BECAUSE I COULD HAVE AN INCORRECT OPINION. I do know Jesus ascended into heaven, gazing down on his house, the first local New Testament Church, having given then authority as his servants, by which they were to DO HIS WORK, and each one was to constantly fulfill the role of all porters, in that they were to WATCH. He is the Master of each one of his New Testament churches today, and each one of them still has his authority to labor and WATCH. There is only one way I know to WATCH, and that is to work in the local church where I am. I DO HIS WORK in, and from, the local church, the house of God. I am not concerned about WHEN he comes, only that I be found WATCHING and working in one of his local New Testament Churches when he arrives.

Report: Hamas ready to accept prior agreements with Israel

Hamas is willing to recognize prior agreements signed between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, according to Palestinian sources based in Damascus.
The sources told the London-based Arabic-language newspaper Al-Hayat on Wednesday that Hamas would also empower PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to conduct negotiations with Israel for a period of two years.
Hamas’ recognition of prior agreements is one of the three conditions the Quartet has set for ending international sanctions against the Hamas-led PA. In addition, the Quartet wants Hamas to recognize Israel and renounce violence.
According to the sources, the fundamental change in the group’s position was achieved in talks between Damascus-based Hamas political leader Khaled Meshal and Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, also of Hamas, at the beginning of the week.
The new position was presented to Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem al Thani, the sources said. Al Thani subsequently arrived in the Gaza Strip on Monday in an unsuccessful bid to mediate a deal between Hamas and Fatah on the establishment of a unity government.
According to the Al-Hayat report, Al Thani’s efforts failed due to Hamas’ refusal to recognize the two-state solution to the conflict and call for an end to terror attacks, as Abbas has demanded.
