I am flabbergasted in the moral degeneration I have watched grow like a cancer in the secular Israeli society since I first set foot in the Holy Land some 53 years ago.
A June article by Sheera Claire Frenkel in the Jerusalem Post came to mind after our last two BLOGS.
Israel’s moral degeneration and giving back the Gaza Strip and West Bank territory to the Palestinians is the prelude to the “time of Jacob’s trouble.”
Before the flood of Noah, those now known as “gays,” were well known by their open and unashamed practice of what God has stated is an abomination to him, because it goes outside the bounds of natural creation between the sexes. Because it did, God gave them up to their abominable rebellious practice, doing the following to them.
Romans 1:26-28 – For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: [27] And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. [28] And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
And then God did the following to all of mankind because of its deterioration into vile affections.
Luke 17:26,27 – And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. [27] They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
In the days of Lot, God could not find ten righteous men and women in Sodom.
When his two angels came to Lot’s house to warn him of the coming judgment on Sodom, before they lay down for the night, the men of Sodom compassed the house, thinking the two angels to be new men in the community
they had not previously “known” by a “gay” act, and demanded that Lot bring them out so they could do so. They did not want the two virgin daughters of Lot, just the two “men.” The fact that Lot offered his daughters to them also reflects the degeneration of Lot’s character by association with the ungodly city.
And this is what God did to Sodom and Gomorrah.
Genesis 19:24,25 – Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven; [25] And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
We have almost reached the sinful worldwide state of mankind found in the days of Noah and in Sodom in the days of Lot.
And this is what God says he will soon be doing because of it.
Luke 17:28-30 – Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; [29] But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. [30] EVEN THUS SHALL IT BE in the day when
the Son of man is revealed.
Luke 21:25-27 – And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; [26] Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
[27] And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
The following article by Sheera Claire Frenkel, the Jerusalem Post, is an interesting perspective to what was not acceptable in Israel because of the teachings of the Torah, that is, until the present generation began to shift its mental attitudes from the Old Testament teachings to the emotional concepts of the flesh.

Marriage is focus of Gay Pride Parade

They have finally found their Mr.
Right and gotten married, but Etai Pinkas and his husband, Yoav Arad, are only beginning to fight for their rights.
Pinkas and Arad, a gay couple who married three months ago in Toronto, are struggling to obtain legal recognition in Israel and start a family of their own.
Their story is becoming increasingly common. As gay couples around the world celebrate a remarkable year for gay-marriage rights – with several US cities legalizing gay marriages last year – they are also struggling to deal with the implications.
Canada and the Netherlands are among the countries that now legally recognize and perform gay marriages, but for married lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (lgbt) couples living in other countries, achieving recognition for their marriages remains an issue.
Pinkas says there are more than 15 lgbt couples in Israel who were married in Canada and are now seeking recognition in Israel. A spokesman for the Interior Ministry said representatives for the couples are currently meeting with the Justice Ministry to discuss the issue.
For those couples, and for many others considering marriage, this year’s annual Israel Gay Pride Parade has special resonance. “This parade is not something new or different that we are trying to stage each year,” says Pinkas, a Tel Aviv city councilman.
“It’s about visibility. By being here each year we are getting people used to us, used to the idea of us and moving toward accepting us and that we are here to stay.”
In March, two couples petitioned the High Court to recognize their marriages, which had taken place in Toronto the month before.
While their case is still pending, Pinkas says there are now more than a dozen couples, including himself and Arad, also waiting to petition the High Court to recognize their marriages.
For Pinkas and Arad, receiving recognition of their marriage is only the first step. The couple, who met and began dating more than five years ago, plan to start a family, an issue that raises both technical and legal difficulties in Israel.
“We cannot have a child through artificial insemination or find a woman willing to be a surrogate mother for us,” Pinkas says. He adds, however, that he is excited by the Housing and Construction Ministry’s recent decision to grant same-sex couples with at least one child housing benefits. “But to get that child is a very difficult thing,” he stresses.
Pinkas says there are only two options for gay couples looking to raise children: one is to adopt in another country and bring the child into Israel – it is illegal for gay couples to adopt in Israel – and the second is to create an informal arrangement with a friend or a couple.
Pinkas and Arad have such an arrangement with a gay female friend who will carry their child and then raise it with them. While Pinkas is excited about his future family, he stresses that o ther options should be available to
the lgbt community.
“I see my personal and public struggle as something really beyond lgbt issues,” said Pinkas. “I really feel that what we do is something we do for Israel as a progressive, Western, liberal normal society and state.”
