I was conducting a Prophecy Lecture in northern Arkansas when 9/11 occurred. A Series of expositions (Ezekiel 37 to 39) was being issued on our Web Site at that time, and I had just completed Number 32 before leaving Dardanelle to do the Prophecy Lecture. When I returned to the home church on Saturday, I continued in the series on Ezekiel 38:14,15. The remarks at the end of that exposition are even more valid today, as one can see from the following article excerpt by Miral Fahmy.

Al-Qaeda: Next Target Israel

In a video aired on the fifth anniversary of the September 11 attacks on al-Jazeera television, deputy al-Qaeda head Ayman al-Zawahri said Israel and the Gulf Arab states would be its next targets.
In remarks addressed to Western leaders, he said: “I tell them do not bother yourselves with defending your forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.
These forces are doomed to failure. You have to bolster your defenses in two areas…the first is the Gulf, from which you will be evicted, God willing, after your defeat in Iraq and then your economic doom will be achieved…. And the next (target) is Israel. The current of holy war is closing on it.”

Begin Closing remarks from Archive Prophecy Update Number 33

What we have witnessed this week, as grim and terrible as it is, and as much as it has shaken our nation to a state of coming together against a common enemy, it has also made us acutely aware that we cannot stop ALL attacks by tightening security. We can stop MOST of it, but we cannot stop ALL of it. We will avenge the loss of those precious American lives, and we will obtain justice for this co wardly act of
war against our citizens. But after we rightly avenge this ungodly act against us, and have obtained justice against these murderers of humanity, we will still be under the threat of terrorism by the many Islamic groups that populate the Arab world.
Countless billions will be poured into travel security at all sorts of levels in our national transportation net, and perhaps even more into our state of military alertness for such occurrences as we have just experienced.
We can ill afford such expenditures with such a delicate economy at this time. But since we must, and should, make them, I am certain it will cause American, as well as all free world pol
iticians, to more actively find ways to bring the Middle East Conflict between Israel and many of the Islamic nations to a closure. Only then will the terrorist leaders be held in check temporarily by the several Arab countries that sponsor, tra
in, and supply them.
There can never be a true and lasting peace in the Land of the Bible until Jesus returns to reign on this planet. However, out of this ungodly act of infamy against an America at peace, there will eventually come a brief period of peace, and many will believe it will be genuine and lasting. But the terrorist groups will only hold off their activities for a short period of time, and they
will do this only as a ruse to lead Israel, and the rest of the free world, in
to a false sense of security. But this brief period of false peace will be broken by a blitzkrieg attack from the north of Israel.
End Closing Remarks from Archive Prophecy Update Number 33
As I indicated in the previous Blog, and in many before it, the Crescent Moon of Islam will continue to tighten its military bands to the north in preparation for an eventual Jihad attack against Israel from the north. I believe that the “brief period of peace,” which I indicated in the final remarks of Archive Update 33, five years ago, will eventually come on the scene in Israel, will do just that at some point in time between 2008 and 2012. Indeed, concerning Israel, as the deputy al-Qaeda head says, “the current of Holy War is closing on it,” and soon it will flood the land from Dan to Beersheba. That “current” will be a flood of Arab forces flooding south to the gates of Beersheba.
Revelation 12:15,16 – And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
