End Time Prophetic Blog Number 2 on Psalm 2 was issued on August 10, 2011
PSALM 2:1-3 – Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? [2] The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, [3] Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
Since I have already exposited on verses 1 to 3 in Number 2, I will only address my exposition to verse 4, which refers to the planned actions of the kings
of the earth, and the DERISION
God creates among them by his release of the power
of all his creation. Man cannot deliver himself from the DERISION of the tribulation period, and must rely on the power of God to deliver him from it.
Many believers fail to CONSIDER THE POWER OF GOD IN TRUSTING HIM, AND THEIR HEART IS HARDENED.
Psalm 2:4 – He that sitteth in the heavens SHALL LAUGH: the Lord SHALL have them in DERISION.
DERISION – To Deride, to Mock to Frustration – Wilson’s O.T. Word Studies
End Time Mockers who mock God’s Son will, at the end, be mocked by God, so the old saying, “He who laughs last, laughs loudest,” will be applicable. God will have the last laugh.
Psalm 59:5-9 – Thou therefore, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors.
Selah. [6] They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city. [7] Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear? [8] But thou, O Lord, shalt laugh at them; THOU SHALT have all the heathen in DERISION. [9] Because of HIS strength will I wait upon thee: FOR GOD IS MY DEFENSE.
WORLDWIDE DERISION IN THE BEGINNING OF SORROWS SHOULD NOT BE A SURPRISE IN LIGHT OF MASSIVE CONFUSION AMONG RULERS. IN THESE PERILOUS TIMES MAN MUST TRUST IN THE LORD’S ABILITIES, RATHER THAN THEIR OWN OPINIONS. JESUS HAS ALL THE POWER IN HEAVEN AND IN EARTH. PRAYER AND TRUST IN HIM IS WHAT SHALL DELIVER US FROM THIS CURRENT DERISION AND CONFUSION. THIS GENERATION HAS HARDENED ITS HEART TOWARD HIS ABILITIES AND LOVE FOR THEM.
Mark 6:49-56 – But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out: [50] For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid. [51] And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered. [52] FOR THEY CONSIDERED NOT THE MIRACLE OF THE LOAVES: FOR THEIR HEART WAS HARDENED.
Psalm 44:1-8 – We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.
[2] How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out. [3] For they got not the land in possession by their OWN sword, neither did their OWN arm save them: but THY right hand, and THINE arm, and the light of THY countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them. [4] Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob.
[5] Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us. [6] For I will not trust in MY bow, neither shall MY sword save me.
[7] But THOU HAST saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us. [8] In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name for ever. Selah.
Matthew 23:37-39 – O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! [38] Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. [39] For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Psalm 118:8,9,22,23,26 – It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. [9] It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes. [22] The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. [23] This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. [26] Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.
Ephesians 3:21 – Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Hebrews 4:9-16 – There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. [10] For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. [11] Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. [12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful,
and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. [13] Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. [14] Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. [15] For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
[16] Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
