Primary UN Purpose has become Temporary Appeasement of Rogue Nations and Terrorists with worthless Resolutions and Truces!

How have the Major Conflicts of Israel ended since 1948
?
How did the 1948 War End? In a Cease Fire Truce, January 7, 1949
How did the 1967 War End? In a Cease Fire Truce, June 10, 1967
How did the 1973 War End? In a Cease Fire Truce, November 1973 with Egypt and with Syria in 1974
How did the 1982 War End
? In a Cease Fire Truce when Palestinians (PLO) agreed to evacuate Beirut and go to several other Arab countries that would accept them.
How has the 2006 War Ended? A Cease Fire Truce in the North!
How will the next War End? A Cease Fire Truce in the South!
How will the battle of Armageddon End? With Jesus Victorious!
Revelation 19:16-21 – And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. [17] And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; [18] That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. [19] And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. [20] And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. [21] And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
The United Nations is as useless as a frog in a High School Punch Bowl! It is only good at passing Resolutions and demanding Truces when it benefits the Arab nation, nations, or terror groups involved in conflicts with Israel.
And I do believe it will be the UN which rushes to get a truce between Israel and the Arab nations, after Islam has driven them to Beersheba in the conflict that begins three and one-half years before Armageddon, which will certainly be to the advantage of Islam. Why? Because the Negev is the best camouflaged and heavily fortified military zone on this earth.
And were the Arab forces to attempt to drive into it, Israel would eat them alive – And they know it!
The truce zone will be monitored by the UN, and will stretch across the northern Negev from south of the Gaza Strip to just north of Beersheba to just south of the Dead Sea.
Israel will remain south of it in the Negev down
to the seaport of Eilat for some three and one-half years. (See Archive Prophecy Update Numbers 5 to 11).

DEBKAfile Exclusive: The most burning issue on the mind of UN Secretary General Kofi Annan in his talks in Jerusalem was not Lebanon – but Iran
August 30, 2006, 10:57 PM (GMT+02:00)
Our exclusive Jerusalem sources reveal that the issues raised at his press conferences with Israeli PM Ehud Olmert and FM Tzipi Livni – the full implementation of UN resolution 1701, the Israeli blockade of Lebanon, the kidnapped Israel soldiers, the embargo on imported weapons for Hizballah – were all left outside the closed doors of the conference rooms he entered in Jerusalem.
Inside, the UN Secretary went straight to the point: He wanted an Israeli message to hand to Iranian leaders in Tehran which he hoped to visit later in his 11-day Middle East tour. The message was to contain an assurance that, despite the Lebanon war and the accelerated tempo of the Iranian nuclear program, Israel undertook not to attack Iran. Annan wanted to be the bearer of a Note in this vein to dispel the Islamic Republic’s fears of an imminent Israeli strike. He told Olmert he intended placing this assurance in the hands of supreme ruler Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in person.
Olmert turned him down.

Any hope that the powerless UN can stop the ”second round” of war in the Middle East, which I guesstimate is most likely to occur during a 2008 to 2012 time frame,
is a fairy tale.

Hizbollah: We’re Arming for the Second Round

Hizballah representative in Iran Muhammad Abdullah Sif al-Din said Wednesday that Hizballah leader Hassan Nasrallah has a new strategic plan to rearm ahead of the “next round against Israel.” Sif al-Din said his organization had no intention of disarming and that there was no possibility that Hizballah would join the Lebanese army. If the Head of the United Nations agrees with Russia and China that the path of appeasement is the best approach to stopping Iran from its mad drive to develop thermonuclear weapons of mass destruction, what can the United States expect to come out of any sort of new resolution to be drafted or passed by the Security Council? Appeasement led to World War II, and it is, and will, lead to the final conflict of this age! This is a very simple principle of grade school – if someone does not stand up to the playground bully, he will eventually rule the playground!

Annan: Sanctions aren’t best Solution for Iran
Associated Press, THE JERUSALEM POST
September 2, 2006
UN Secretary General Kofi Annan said in a newspaper interview published Saturday that he hoped for a negotiated solution over Iran’s disputed nuclear program rather than sanctions.
Patience can be more productive than leveling UN sanctions, Annan told Le Monde on Friday, a day before arriving in Tehran to discuss the nuclear program with Iranian leaders, as well as the crisis in Lebanon following a cease-fire between the Iranian-backed Hizbullah and Israel.
“I will discuss the (nuclear) problem, but I will not resolve it,” Annan was quoted as saying. He said that during his contacts with Iranian officials he has insisted that a negotiated solution be found “that would avoid another conflict in a region already subjected to great stress at this moment.”
Asked about indications that the United States wants to move to sanctions, Annan replied, “I do not believe that sanctions are the solution to all problems. There are moments when a bit of patience produces lots of effects. I think that is a quality we must exercise more often.”
