All this blood and gore now going on in southern Lebanon and northern Israel may well be the catalyst that causes something to happen I have been waiting 32 years to experience. Namely, a brief period of false peace before a period of three and one half years of great tribulation, which will come in, after being produced by two things.
The first being a realization by Israel’s Islamic enemies that there is no way they can drive mighty Israel out of the land from Dan to Beersheba, except by cunning, deceit, and a great pre-attack buildup of their military and political strength, accompanied by a sense of union and purpose among the Arab nations of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Iraq, and Iran. The second thing, which will be a part of the catalyst creating the false peace, will be the ever increasing mindset among the Israelis that they can whip the Arabs any day of the week, and this will contribute mightily to their downfall. With four major and four minor victories over the Arabs since 1948, when the Arab forces in the future
are observed to be building up, the Israelis, with their mighty conventional and nuclear capabilities, will take the attitude, “bring them on, let’s settle this once and for all,” and will allow the Arab buildup to continue, thinking they can handle it just as
they have in the past, but they will be shocked at what happens when they try to do so. Israel will be driven into the Negev south of Beersheba in a war fought with convention weapons. I do not believe the Arabs could possibly build up sufficiently to pull off the attack before sometime in 2008, but I do believe they could after that, which is the reason I have been guesstimating the likelihood of a 10 nation Arab Jihad against the Israelis at some point in time between 2008 and 2012. It is possible it may take them a little longer to get everything coordinated and in place among the 10 nations, but 2008 and 2012 seems to me to be the best time frame.
The years following the coming cease fire will be extremely interesting to watch and I am hoping the Lord will leave me here to do so. Let’s see if the next several years have a lot of rhetoric but less action by Hamas, Hizbollah, Islamic Jihad, Al-Aksa Martyrs Brigades and all the other puppets of Iran in, and around Israel.
I also wonder what effect this will have on Bin Laden’s Al Qaeda worldwide terrorist thugs – I am guessing it will have very little.

IDF needs another week to alleviate Hizbullah Threat

Forty to fifty percent of Hizbullah’s military capability has been destroyed in the six days of the IDF counter-attack following last Wednesday’s Hizbullah raid in northern Israel, The Jerusalem Post has learned.
The IDF, it is understood, believes it needs another week or so minimum to achieve its military goals in terms of alleviating Hizbullah’ s capacity to threaten I
srael.
The IDF further believes, it is understood, that it will be given at least that long to continue its actions, in light of the G8 nations’ essential support for Israel and those nations’ branding Hizbullah and Hamas as being responsible for the current escalation.
Operations in Lebanon, the Post has learned, are costing Israel NIS 50-100 million a day.

FM: The Time for Diplomacy has Arrived

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said Tuesday morning after emerging from a meeting with the UN delegation on the current crisis in Lebanon that “the time for diplomacy has arrived.”
Livni explained that this wasn’t intended to reduce current military operations, but rather create a situation in which “we will prevent this from happening in the future.
”
The foreign minister said there was wide agreement about this in the international community, reflected in the statement put out this week by the G8 and the EU about what needs to be done.
“This includes unconditional release of three Israeli soldiers,” she said, as well as the implementation of UN resolution 1559.
She said that in addition to removing Hizubllah from South Lebanon there was need, as stipulated in 1559,
to dismantle Hizbullah in the future.
“The suffering the Israeli population has gone through over the last two days has to be translated into ways of preventing this in the future,” Livni said, and added that ways also need to be found to prevent Iran and Syria from rearming Hizbullah.
Regarding the possibility of an international presence along the northern border, Livni made it clear that Israel’s final goal was for the South Lebanse Army to deploy there, but she said that given the realization that South Lebanon might be too weak to do this now, ideas were being discussed about how to augment their forces for the time being.
Former UN Mideast envoy Terje Roed-Larsen said Tuesday following the meeting Livni that the delegates had had a good conversation with Livni and presented “concrete ideas” on how to end the current crisis.
Larsen said that the ideas had also been given to the Lebanese, and added that a political framework was necessary to reach a ceasefire.
Larsen was on his way to meet with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.
