Daniel 11:42,43 – He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. [43] But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
The “He’s” in verses 42 & 43 represent the Syrian king of the north.
Genesis 16:12 – And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.
Hebrew expression “a wild man” literally means “a wild jackass.”
The struggle going on between different factions of Arabs in Lebanon, the Gaza Strip, and the rest of the terrorist groups, does indeed seem to be between a gathering of wild asses in heat. I dread the day when this hatred for one another is united in a Jihad attack against Israel, which I believe will occur prior to 2015.
ElBaradei holds the same democratic values as his Father Mostafa, believing in the democratic rights of individual Egyptians, a free press, and an independent legal system.
ElBaradei was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. He was one of five children of Mostafa ElBaradei, an attorney who headed the Egyptian Bar Association and often found himself at odds with the regime of President Gamal Abdel Nasser. ElBaradei’s father was also a supporter of democratic rights in Egypt, supporting a free press and a legal system that was independent
ElBaradei’s name has been circulated by opposition groups since 2009 as a possible candidate to succeed President Hosni Mubarak in Egypt’s highest executive position.
ElBaradei did not make any clear statements regarding his intentions to run for the office; however, he has demanded that certain conditions have to be met to ensure fair elections accompanied by changes to the constitution that will allow more freedom for independent candidates before he would actually consider running for presidency. Several opposition groups and parties have endorsed him, considering him a neutral figure who could transition the country to greater democracy.
On 24 February 2010, ElBaradei met with several opposition leaders and notable intellectuals at his home in Cairo. The meeting was concluded with an announcement for the formation of a new non-party-political movement called “National Association for Change”. The movement aims for general reforms in the political scene and mainly article 76 of the Egyptian constitution, which places restrictions on true free presidential elections, especially when it comes to independent candidates. The banned political group the Muslim Brotherhood were represented by one of their key figures who attended the meeting; however, their stand in accepting a non-member of their group as a candidate is yet unclear. It is also unknown whether Amr Moussa, the head of the Arab League who met with ElBaradei a day earlier, will be part of the new movement.

ElBaradei: ‘Mubarak must resign to prevent bloodshed’
By ASSOCIATED PRESS
02/01/2011 14:22
UN Human Rights chief cites reports of up to 300 killed in protests; 200,000 demonstrators fill Cairo’s Tahrir Square for Million Man March.
Egyptian reform activist Mohammed ElBaradei called on Tuesday for Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to resign in order to save lives.
“Mubarak must resign and leave the state in order to prevent bloodshed,” ElBaradei said in an interview with Al-Arabiyah.
Earlier Tuesday, the UN’s top human rights official said that she had unconfirmed reports that 300 people have been killed and over 3,000 injured in the anti-government protests in Egypt.
UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay said “the whole world is watching how the president and the reconfigured government will react to the continuing protests demanding radical change.”
In a statement Tuesday, Pillay quoted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights saying people must be protected from abuses “if man is not to be compelled to have recourse, as a last resort, to rebellion against tyranny and oppression.”
Demonstrators prepare for Million Man March
An estimated 200,000 people flooded into the heart of Cairo Tuesday, filling the city’s main square as a call for a million protesters was answered by the largest demonstration in a week of unceasing demands for President Hosni Mubarak to leave after nearly 30 years in power.
Rivers of protesters arrived in Tahrir, or Liberation, Square at checkpoints guarded by protesters and the army,
which promised Monday night that it would not fire on protesters.
The announcement was a sign that army support for Mubarak may be unraveling as momentum builds for an extraordinary eruption of discontent and demands for democracy in the United States’ most important Arab ally.
Mubarak, 82, would be the second Arab leader pushed from office by a popular uprising in the history of the modern Middle East.
The loosely organized and disparate movement to drive him out is fueled by deep frustration with an autocratic regime blamed for ignoring the needs of the poor and allowing corruption and official abuse to run rampant. After years of tight state control, protesters emboldened by the overthrow of Tunisia’s president last month took to the streets on Jan. 25 and mounted a relentless and once unimaginable series of protests across this nation of 80 million people — the region’s most populous country and the center of Arabic-language film-making, music and literature.
Soviet-era and newer US-made Abrams tanks stood at the roads leading into Tahrir Square, a plaza overlooked by the headquarters of the Arab League, the campus of the American University in Cairo, the famed Egyptian Museum and the Mugammma, an enormous winged building housing dozens of departments of the country’s notoriously corrupt and inefficient bureaucracy.
Working-class men in scuffed shoes and worn cloth pants stood alongside women in full-face veils who chanted, “The people want to bring down the regime!”
Egyptian Army “will not use force against the public”
For days, army tanks and troops have surrounded the square, keeping the protests confined but doing nothing to stop people from joining. The guns of many of the tanks pointed out from the square.
Military spokesman Ismail Etman said the military “has not and will not use force against the public” and underlined that “the freedom of peaceful expression is guaranteed for everyone.”
He added the caveats that protesters should not commit “any act that destabilizes security of the country” or damage property.
The protests appeared to be better organized on Tuesday.
Volunteers wearing tags reading “Security of the People” said they were watching for government infiltrators who might try to instigate violence.
“We will throw out anyone who tries to create trouble,” one announced over a loudspeaker.
Authorities shut down all roads and public transportation to Cairo, security officials said. Train services nationwide were suspended for a second day and all bus services between cities were halted.
All roads in and out of the flashpoint cities of Alexandria, Suez, Masnoura and Fayoum were also closed
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.
An unprecedented shutdown of the Internet was in its fifth day after the last of the service providers abruptly stopped shuttling Internet traffic into and out of the country.
Cairo’s international airport remained a scene of chaos as thousands of foreigners sought to flee.
Suleiman promises reforms
Hours after the army said it would not use force on the protesters, Vice President Omar Suleiman — appointed by Mubarak only two days earlier in what could be a sucession plan — went on state TV to announce the offer of a dialogue with “political forces” for constitutional and legislative reforms.
Suleiman did not say what the changes would entail or which groups the government would speak with. Opposition forces have long demanded the lifting of restrictions on who is eligible to run for president to allow a real challenge to the ruling party, as well as measures to ensure elections are fair. A presidential election is scheduled for September.
Around 30 representatives from various opposition groups were meeting Tuesday to produce a set of joint demands and decide whether to make ElBaradei spokesman for the protesters, said Abu’l-Ela Madi, a spokesman of one of the participating groups, al-Wasat, a moderate breakaway faction from the Muslim Brotherhood.
The various protesters have little in common beyond the demand that Mubarak go. Perhaps the most significant tensions among them is between young secular activists and the Muslim Brotherhood, which wants to form an Islamist state in the Arab world’s largest nation.
The more secular are deeply suspicious the Brotherhood aims to co-opt what they contend is a spontaneous, popular movement. American officials have suggested they have similar fears.
In a nod to the suspicions, Brotherhood figures insist they are not seeking a leadership role.
Still, Brotherhood members appeared to be joining the protest in greater numbers and more openly. During the first few days of protests, the crowd in Tahrir Square was composed of mostly young men in jeans and T-shirts.
On Monday, many of the volunteers handing out food and water to protesters were men in long traditional dress with the trademark Brotherhood appearance — a closely cropped haircut and bushy beards.

PROPHECY UPDATE NUMBER 73

The King of the North – The Antichrist
Part 3
Daniel 11:43 – But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
In Blog Attachments Parts 1 and 2 (See Two Previous Blogs), we exposited fully on the entrance of the antichrist into Israel from the north, his conquest
of Israel north of Beersheva, his driving of Israel into the Negev, his by-passing Jordan because of a lack of strategic value, the absolute necessity of his conquest of the Suez Canal, and his preparation to enter Egypt for a strategic base of his future activities during the next three plus years.
The antichrist is to be a tactical military genius. That being the case, he will follow the only logical way to conquer Egypt.
Just what is Egypt geographically
? It is bordered on the west by Libya, on the north by the Mediterranean Sea, on the south by Sudan, and on the east by the western border of the Gaza Strip, the Negev, the Gulf of Aqaba, and the Red Sea. However, in reality, that is not Egypt. Egypt, population wise, consists of the narrow strip of coastline (up to three miles inland) touching the Mediterranean Sea, the Suez Canal, the Gulf of Suez, and the Red Sea, plus its major population distribution along and 20 miles either side of the Nile River and its northern delta. The antichrist will lead a Jihad coalition of 10 Islamic nations, two of which will be Libya and ancient Ethiopia, which now exists as Sudan along the southern border of Egypt. He will not want either of these nations to share in land acquisition rewards from the conquest of Egypt, but he will use them to make his victory much easier. He will instruct Libya to mass its troops along its northern coastal border with Egypt, and the Sudan to mass its troops where the Nile River enters Egypt from the south. This will force Egypt to move some of its troops to these areas in a defensive mode, and, as a result, the antichrist will take Cairo in less than a day. His troops will move rapidly west along the northern coastline, south along the eastern coastline, and down the Nile River to the Sudanese border. This will complete his conquest of Egypt. All the rest of it has less than one percent of the population, and is virtual wasteland.
In his initial conquests only 10 Islamic nations will be involved. As you may discover in volumes of previous Prophecy Updates, these 10 have been identified as being made up
of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Turkey, and Sudan. Those directly involved in the initial Jihad onslaught from the north will be Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Iran, with the Palestinians attacking internally out of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Turkey, Libya, and Sudan will be more involved in the strategic and logistical positional support than in actual combat. However, after quick successes against Israel and Egypt, all the other Islamic nations will immediately jump on his bandwagon, and suddenly all the aspirations of Mohammed, and the Biblical prophecies of a final evil empire, will be fulfilled. After all the Islamic nations climb on board it will cover as far to the west from Cairo as Daniel’s fourth beast conquered, that is to Morocco, and as far to the east as his second and third beast conquered, that is to India. I am persuaded it will of course include the 10 already mentioned, as well as Egypt, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Yemen, and the United Arab Emirates. During the three plus years of antichrist’s reign, most of Europe will come under his control or strong influence, and in the final battle of Armageddon, which closes his reign, all the nations of Europe, Africa, Eurasia, Asia, and the Middle East will join him in a final massive attack again Israel in the Negev.
The antichrist’s empire will be an empire that dominates the known world in the days the prophets wrote from Isaiah and Micah in 700 B.C. to John in A.D. 95. They wrote to the people of their day and we are meant to understand it the light of how they perceived it. There is no question that God knew the world as we know it today, but I am convinced He meant for us, in the prophecies relating to the extent of the antichrist’s empire, to interpret it as meaning the world as the prophets knew it. So, as regards the size of his empire, when they used expressions like “the whole world, all the earth, wherever men dwell, etc.,” it does not refer to the earth as we know it today, but to the earth as it was known by the writers. These same expressions, when used as pertaining to such things as the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20, do mean the earth as we know it today by implication of the directive. The believing world today waits for an antichrist that will dominate the whole world as we know it today and, quite frankly, they could be right. I am prepared for that! But I am also prepared for an antichrist that dominates the aforementioned areas I have outlined. There is a distinct possibility of this eventuality. So watch the Middle East, and if such an empire does arise, then don’t set on your duff waiting for an antichrist to arise out of Europe that will dominate all the world as we know it today. If I am correct in what I believe as to the size and dominion of his empire, then it will shatter end time teachings that arose in the early nineteenth century, and eventually solidified in the twentieth century. In any case, I am convinced that the next seven years will settle the question as to the correct interpretation.
In Part 4, the attachment to my next blog, Lord willing, I will try to outline his activities during his stay of some 3 and ½ years in his Cairo command center, and what causes him to head back to Jerusalem when his time on earth is drawing to a close.
From what I have stated in this blog, and two previous blogs, you should be able to surmise what I believe about the following Scriptures. They outline the antichrist’s reign from his initial attack to his final demise. For better or for worst, I believe his initial attack will be launched before the year 2015. I do not believe that most of the world has any idea of the horror that is soon to be unleashed in the Middle East.
Revelation 17:12,13 – And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. [13] These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
I Thessalonians 5:3,4 – For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. [4] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
Daniel 11:41 – He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
Zechariah 13:8 – And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
Daniel 7:24,25 – And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. [25] And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
(In Daniel’s day “the saints of the most High” represented the faithful of Israel. A time equaled 1 year, times 2 years, and half a time ½ year, which, in prophetic years of 360 days, equaled 3 and ½ years, or 42 months, or 1260 days.)
Daniel 11:45 – And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
Revelation 16:16 – And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
Revelation 19:19-21 – And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and
against his army. [20] And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. [21] And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
Daniel 7:11-14 – I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. [12] As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time. [13] I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. [14] And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
Revelation 14:14-20 – And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
[15] And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. [16] And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. [17] And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. [18] And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. [19] And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the
earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. [20] And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
