THERE WAS DERISION
AT HIS FIRST VISITATION
THE BIBLE IS ITS OWN BEST COMMENTARY ON ITSELF
DERISION WILL BE GREATER AT HIS SECOND VISITATION!
Psalm 2:3,4 – Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. [4] He that sitteth in the heavens SHALL LAUGH: the Lord
shall have them in DERISION.
The Lord laughs at the attempt of the wicked to break any cords or bands of c ontrol he has
on them or the rest of mankind he created, particularly on those who believe in him.
God laughs because he sees the future day that is coming for them when he judges the wicked for their actions.
Psalm 37:9-15 – For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. [10] For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be:
yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
[11] But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. [12] The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. [13] THE LORD SHALL LAUGH AT HIM: FOR HE SEETH THAT HIS DAY IS COMING. [14] The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. [15] Their SWORD shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
Psalm 59:7-9 – Behold, they belch out with their mouth: SWORDS are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear? [8] But thou, O Lord, shalt LAUGH at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in DERISION. [9] Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defense.
Psalm 52:5-9 – God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place,
and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah. [6] The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall LAUGH at him: [7] Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness. [8] But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever. [9] I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.
MOAB WAS NOT READY FOR ITS DAY OF VISITATION.
Jeremiah 48:39-43 – They shall howl, saying, How is it broken down! how hath Moab turned the back with shame! so sh all Mo
ab be a DERISION and a dismaying to all them about him.
[40] For thus saith the Lord; Behold, he shall fly as an eagle, and shall spread his wings over Moab. [41] Kerioth is taken, and the strong holds are surprised, and the mighty men’s hearts in Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs. [42] And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against the Lord. [43] Fear, and the pit, and the snare, shall be upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith the Lord.
ISRAEL WAS NOT READY FOR THE ASSYRIAN DAY OF VISITATION.
Isaiah 10:3 – And what will ye do in THE DAY OF VISITATION, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?
ISRAEL WAS NOT READY FOR MESSIAH’S FIRST DAY OF VISITATION.
Luke 19:37-44 – And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; [38] Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. [39] And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
[40] And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. [41] And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, [42] Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
[43] For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, [44] And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; BECAUSE THOU KNEWEST NOT THE TIME OF THY VISITATION.
ARE BELIEVERS READY FOR MESSIAH’S SECOND DAY OF VISITATION?
I Peter 2:9-12 – But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: [10] Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. [11] Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; [12] Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, WHICH THEY SHALL BEHOLD, GLORIFY GOD IN THE DAY OF VISITATION.
I Peter 1:6.7 – Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: [7] That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and GLORY at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
Revelation 22:12 – And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man ACCORDING AS HIS WORK SHALL BE.
