Zechariah, Isaiah, and many of the other prophets, all indicate that the Messiah of Israel, who came as Jesus at his First Advent, and tabernacled among men, will come again at hi s Second Advent
to tabernacle with his chosen forever. The word translated at “dwelt” in John 1:14 is the Greek word for what the Hebrews identified as a tent or “tabernacle.” God dwelt in a tent of sinless flesh and tabernacled with Israel for more than three years. Soon he will come again at his Second Advent as the Lion of Judah and tabernacle with his chosen forever.
John 1:14 – And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt (tabernacled) among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Zechariah 14:16 – And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year
to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Isaiah 66:23 – And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.
We had completed the exposition of Isaiah 66:6 in our previous article.
Israel’s Messiah was born before it ever experienced the tribulation of Revelation 12:6.
Isaiah 66:7 – Before she travailed, she brought fort
h; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.
Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
But a remnant of the seed of the woman’s child, who was Jesus, will be preserved by God, in the Negev wilderness during the 1260 days of tribulation, and the children of Israel shall be reborn as a nation at Messiah’s Second Advent.
Isaiah 66:8,9 – Who hath heard such a thing
? who hath seen such things
? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once
? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. [9] Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the Lord: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.
Revelation 12:5 – And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
Revelation 12:17 – And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
The woman represents about two million Jews that will make it into the Negev wilderness, and the remnant of Jesus, her seed, are 144,000 sealed Jews.
Zechariah 13:8 – And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
Revelation 7:4 – And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
As God indicated “Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.” Both rhetorical questions beg an answer – and the answer is a definite implied YES! When Jesus returns at his Second Advent, because of the testimony
of the 144,000 in the Negev wilderness, the Israelites in the wilderness who believe will be born of his Spirit, and he will bring them forth as his children.
Zechariah 13:9 – And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.
Acts 2:20,21 – The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord
come: [21] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Micah 5:3 – Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.
Matthew 23:38,39 – Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. [39] For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye
shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Isaiah 66:10 – Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:
