There is no question that the Feast
of Tabernacles will be observed in Jerusalem by all nations during the reign of Israel’s returned Messiah. Both Zechariah and Isaiah describe the observance of the Feast.
Zechariah 14:16 – And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Isaiah 66:23 – And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon
to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.
The King, the Son of God, the Son of David, the Messiah, the Anointed One, was born to tabernacle with Israel, but they rejected him.
They suffered no birth pains when he was born, and when he was crucified. They began when Titus leveled Jerusalem and the Temple some 40 years after his resurrection, and have continued ever since. Israel’s final, and hardest birth pains, will begin about 1260 days before he returns at his Second Advent.
His Second Advent will not only bring him to birth as Israel’s Messiah, but he will be accompanied by all of those who received him as their Messiah since he was first promised as the Salvation Seed in Genesis 3:15.
Genesis 3:15 – And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
He was sent to shepherd his flock, the nation of Israel, but only the little ones among proud Israel would receive him as Messiah, and he turned his hand over them as his flock, and since that time his Spirit has created many such little flocks across the earth, made up of both Jew and Gentile.
Zechariah 13:7 – Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the Lord of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.
John 10:24-31 – Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt
? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. [25] Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me. [26] But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
[27] My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: [28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. [29] My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. [30] I and my Father are one.
[31] Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
Acts 20:21 – Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:18 – For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
Acts 2:40,41 – And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. [41] Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
Ephesians 2:22 – In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Ephesians 3:21 – Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.
Amen.
The “little ones” of Zechariah 13:7 were cast out by the Jewish religious leaders because of what they preached in the name of Christ, but when he appears at his Second Advent, they will all be rejoicing, and Israel will be very ashamed for having crucified him.
Isaiah 66:5 – Hear the word of the Lord, ye that tremble at his word; your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name’s sake shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
Zechariah 12:9-11 – And it shall come to pass in that day,
that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. [10] And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. [11] In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem,
Revelation 1:7 – Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth sh
all wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
