World Wars I and II were wars started largely by nations seeking to expand their territories for geopolitical and economic purposes. In all wars religion has played some role in the conflict, but nothing like the war we are now fighting against Islamic terrorism. Although economic and geopolitical goals are certainly a part of this conflict in the Middle East, religion plays the major role. Unfortunately, the coming war in the Middle East will be a religious war, a holy war, an Islamic Jihad. We have never fought a war quite like this one. In World War II it was the United States vs. Germany, Italy, and Japan. In the current war it is the United States vs. Islam, which makes up about one-fifth of the world’s population, conveniently scattered around the world for what amounts to guerilla terrorist warfare. After our troops are withdrawn from Iraq it will be Islam vs. Judaism.

Students in Teheran Recruited for Suicide Bombings

Israel television news showed images Sunday night of an auditorium filled with well-dressed students at the University of Teheran.
This was no ordinary lecture. Upon signing up for the course, students were asked to choose against whom they would most like to carry out a suicide bombing.
Among the choices were Israel, Americans in Iraq, and Salman Rushdie, who has an Iranian death sentence on his head for the publication of his book The Satanic Verses.
The students were shown videos as incitement, including a mob burning a Danish flag, Palestinians clashing with the IDF, and footage from the war in Iraq.
On the stage was a sign in English, Hebrew and Persian. The text in all languages said the same thing: “Israel must be wiped off the map.”
A student leader of the organization that set up the recruitment event said that they currently have 1,000 loyal and trained suicide bombers, with another 5,000 on a waiting list.

Why Are Some Willing to Be Martyred for Allah?
Because they truly believe the following promises directly quoted from the Koran:
BEGIN QUOTES FROM KORAN
“Believers, do not follow the example of the infidels, which say of their brothers when they meet death abroad or in battle: ‘Had they stayed with us they would not have died nor would they have been killed.’ Allah will cause them to regret their words.
It is Allah who ordains life and death.
He has knowledge of all your actions.
If you should die or be slain in the cause of Allah,
His forgiveness and His mercy would surely be better than all the riches they amass. If you should die or be slain, before Him you shall all be gathered.”
“You must not think that those who were slain in the cause of Allah are dead.
They are alive, and well provided for by their Lord; pleased with His gifts and rejoicing that those whom they left behind have nothing to fear or to regret; rejoicing in Allah’s grace and bounty. Allah will not deny the faithful their reward.”
“As for those who are slain in the cause of Allah, He will not allow their works to perish. He will vouchsafe their guidance and ennoble their state; He will admit them to the Paradise He has made known to them.”
What follows are the promises of Allah to anyone who is martyred in war, a Jihad, or an Intifada.
The ones who blow themselves up for Allah actually believe they will immediately be ushered into Paradise and be given the promises found in the following verses quoted directly from the Koran:
“Allah will deliver them from the evil of that day and make their faces shine with joy. He will reward them for their steadfastness with robes of silk and the delights of Paradise. Reclining there on soft couches, they shall feel neither the scorching heat nor the biting cold.
Trees will spread their shade around them, and fruits will hang in clusters over them.
They shall be served with silver dishes, and beakers as large as goblets; silver goblets that they themselves shall measure: and cups brim-full with ginger flavored water from the Fount of Selsabil. They shall be attended by boys graced with eternal youth, who to the beholder’s eyes will seem like sprinkled pearls. When you gaze upon that scene you will behold a kingdom blissful and glorious. They shall be arrayed in garments of fine green silk and rich brocade, and adorned with bracelets of silver. Their Lord will give them pure beverage to drink. Thus will you be rewarded; your high endeavors are gratifying to Allah.”
“They shall recline on couches lined with thick brocade, and within their reach will hang the fruit of the two gardens.”
“They shall dwell with bashful virgins whom neither man nor jinnee will have touched before.”
“ But the true servants of Allah shall be well provided for, feasting on fruit, and honored in the gardens of delight.
Reclining face to face upon soft couches, they shall be served with a large goblet filled at a gushing fountain, white, and delicious to those who drink it.
It will neither dull their senses nor befuddle them. They shall sit with bashful, dark-eyed virgins, as chaste as the sheltered eggs of ostriches.”

The question is not whether you believe these promises – The question is DO THEY BELIEVE THEM? The answer is YES!
I do feel obligated to tell you that the promise of 72 virgins waiting in heaven for the faithful did not come from the Koran, just in case you were surprised not to find it in the Koran quotes. But it has been used at times to incite the terrorist bombers to blast off to glory by the claim it could be traced back to unrecorded sayings of Muhammad.
Nothing in the Koran specifically states that the faithful are allotted 72 virgins apiece.
For this elaboration we turn to the hadith, traditional sayings traced with varying degrees of credibility to Muhammad. Hadith number 2,562 in the collection known as the Sunan al-Tirmidhi says, “The least [reward] for the people of Heaven is 80,000 servants and 72 wives, over which stands a dome of pearls, aquamarine and ruby.”
To be faithful to the martyrs death is the ultimate sacrifice of one’s life for the cause of Allah.
The Islamic Clerics are able to get about 2 or 3 percent of the believers so pumped up on these promises, that they go to their martyrdom for Allah, fully expecting to be receiving them a split second after their soul leaves the body.
