There have been stories circulated recently that Iran is planning to have a nuclear weapons test before March 20, 2006.
The question is this – are they tru
e? And this answer is – No one knows, except the Iranians!
There have been persistent rumors that the Israelis are preparing to try an air strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities. The question is this – are they true? And the answer is – No one knows, except the Israelis!
I will say this – Israel may not attempt to launch an air assault until Iran does conduct a nuclear explosion test underground in its deserts or mountains.
An underground nuclear explosion would make it crystal clear to all the nations of the world that Iran had been blatantly lying about only upgrading uranium for peaceful purposes.
One of the rumors float ing around is that the Iranians will conduct an underground nuclear test explosion
in March, but when one tries to find the source of these rumors, the validity factor is diminished.
Over the last three years, I have heard so many estimates as to when Iran will have its first nuclear bomb, that I long ago lost track of how many I have encountered.
Without question, the goal of Iran is to produce a nuclear warhead for its Shihab 3 and 4 Missile Series. However, when they do conduct their first underground test, it will take months to get a workable warhead and test it on their Shihab series. This being the case, I would not expect an air strike to occur against Iran until AFTER the test. This would give Israel more international justification for it.
I do not believe
Iran would launch a nuclear pre-strike against Israel. Were they to do so, Iran would no longer be a country, nor would it be a land of mountains and valleys – It would be a gigantic hole in the earth.
Iran is acutely aware of this, and I believe Israel knows it.
This is one situation I intend to continue to watch, and simply admit, I don’t know what Israel or the United States intends to do about the nuclear sites in Iran.
