Unilateral Withdrawal from West Bank Continues!

It is full steam ahead on the unilateral withdrawal peace plan which, in all practicality, began in 2002 when the building of the long security barrier/wall/fence began to be constructed by Israel, with the intent of protecting Israelis from terrorists
by enclosing the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
From the very beginning of its construction, in the minds of the Palestinians, Israelis, and the rest of the world, it has been known it will eventually be an international border between Palestinians and
Israelis.
The acting Israel Ehud Olmert today instructed Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz to present a plan for evacuating all illegal outposts in the West Bank, and asked for a list detailing the forces that would be required to accomplish the task.
The Palestinians despise the unilateral withdrawal plan, which was first instituted by Ariel Sharon, because it will cause the security barrier to be the final international border between the new Palestinian state and Israel.
So, Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas was quick to make an announcement he would be willing to resume negotiations with Israel.
His is do ing this
in the hope of having an input on the path the barrier will take as it wiggles like a snake around the West Bank. Abbas knows that if the Palestinian Authority does not objectively begin to negotiate, then the Israelis will make all the decisions as to where the barrier will wiggle, and you may rest assured it will wiggle to take in as many Israeli settlements as Israel believes it can actually protect from terrorists after it is completed.
