Expect 2006 Increased Seismic Activity Along Great Rift Valley!

A 6.8-magnitude earthquake occurred on the southernmost end of the Great African-Israel Rift Valley Monday morning, December 5, 2005.
It was under Lake Tanganyika between Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Israel’s Jordan River Valley is only a small part of the Great Rift Valley that extends from between Lebanon and Syria several thousand miles to South Africa. The Red sea covers some 1400 miles of the Great Rift Valley floor. Thousands of years ago, fantastic pressures beneath the surface created
the Great Rift Valley.
As the earth cracked in the great struggle, parts of the earth’s crust were pushed up, and some parts were known to have dropped.
As a result, mount
ains follow the rift valley for its full length on both sides.
The subterranean forces that formed the Great Rift Valley are still at work.
Throughout the centuries earthquakes have rippled through its entire length.
The great earthquake in the days of Israeli King Uzziah was first recorded in Amos 1:1, and was still being referred to some 270 years later in Zechariah 14:5. Another earthquake occurred when Jesus was on the cross that rent the rocks and opened graves, as told in Matthew 27:51,52.
Isaiah 29:6 – Thou shalt be visited of the Lord of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.
Isaiah indicates a coming
event that will make these past earthquakes look like a Sunday school picnic and I do not believe it is an event of the “far distant future.” This earthquake just reported in Africa may be significant as an indicator of future seismic activity along the rift.
I consider this to be a very significant earthquake because it indicates continued spreading on the southern end of this great spreading valley that extends from the point of this earthquake northward between the Congo and Uganda, which is the western fork of this great earthquake producing geological fault, whose eastern branch extends north-south across Kenya and Ethiopia to the sea waters of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, where it forms what is known as the Afar Depression.
It then extends northward along both sides of the Red Sea through the Gulf of Aqaba, along both sides of Israel’s Dead Sea in the Jordan Rift Valley, and finally extends northward through the Beqa Valley of Lebanon.

I do expect a gradual increase in earthquake activity along the length of this long rift in the crust of the earth in 2006 and 2007 and, at some point in time between 2007 and 1012, I expect a very abrupt, massive, increase in activity along the entire rift. I know the Biblical predictions of these great earthquakes will occur but, quite candidly, the prediction of exactly when has always been in God’s hands, and my predictions of WHEN they will occur is speculation, but I have been confident since the eighties they were drawing near, and each new year has given me more confidence that we will not have to wait a long extended period of time before Jesus comes again. I am very anxious for his coming.
