But God’s Millennial Program does not have Mankind’s Follies!

Man will never be able to bring in the millennium and make the earth green. Indeed, we are headed for a time of God’s judgment that will leave earth looking like a brown singed wig with cracks in it.
Revelation 8:7 – The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
Matthew 24:21,22 – For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
[22] And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
Luke 21:25-28 – And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; [26] Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. [27] And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. [28] And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Malachi 4:1-3 – For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts,
that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. [2] But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
[3] And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.
After all this unbelievable terrifying upheaval of the earth’s crust leaves it a devastated planet, a remarkable transformation by God will begin, and the earth will attain a peak of greater greenness than modern man has ever witnessed.
Isaiah 35:3-6 – Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. [4] Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. [5] Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. [6] Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
Hebrews 11:6 – But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:1-3 – Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. [2] For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Isaiah 35:1,2 – The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
[2] It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.
Isaiah 41:18-20 – I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. [19] I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together: [20] That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the Lord hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.
Isaiah 43:19-21 – Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it
? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in
the desert.
[20] The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. [21] This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
Isaiah 51:3 – For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

It’s the elephant in the living room of British environmental politics: the question of whether it is possible to push through green policies at a time of economic slowdown. Commendably, David Cameron became the first senior political leader to answer this yesterday.
Even better, he got the answer broadly right.
The Conservative leader told an audience at Westminster’s Royal Horticultural Halls that, although the cost of living is “the number one concern for Britain’s families”, the plain fact is that we “can’t afford not to go green”. Protecting the environment is a “necessity”, not a “luxury”.
Those who argue that because the economy is slowing, the environment ceases to be a front-line issue, simply betray the fact that they never understood the green case. The future malign effects of climate change will make a recession today look mild in comparison. The very future inhabitability of the planet is at stake here.
There were also some welcome specifics from Mr Cameron, coming out against the expansion of Heathrow and the building of a new coal-fired plant at Kingsnorth, Kent. Furthermore, there was a pledge to reward domestic energy producers if they feed into the grid and to step up tidal-power technology research.
Mr Cameron has done British politics a favour.
All three major political parties have committed themselves to taking radical action to cut carbon emissions. None risks being undercut by a populist anti-green campaign from one of their rivals.
But only one of those parties has the levers of government in its hand. Over to you, Mr Brown.
