Will the current events in the Middle East eventually lead to the false peace of I Thessalonians 5:3,4 somewhere on down the road, or will this be another disappointment while we wait for the appearance of the Sun of Righteousness to come with healing in his wings?
We know that a time of false “Peace and safety” must come briefly for a time, followed by travail of three and one half years for Israel, before Jesus, the Sun of Righteousness returns at this Second Advent.
I am hoping against hope the current events, outlined in our previous Blog, are the forerunner of the time of a false “Peace and safety” fulfillment beginning at a future point in time between 2008 and 2010, and then ending at some point in time between 2010 and 2015 when Israel is attacked to begin the l ast three and one half years of tribulation, which in turn will then end at the Second Advent
as Jesus Christ, the Sun of Righteousness, returns to the earth with all the saved to end the final battle of Armageddon, and to begin His Millennial Reign.
I Thessalonians 5:3,4 – For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
[4] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
Daniel 7:24,25 – And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. [25] And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
Daniel 11:45 to 12:1 – And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
[1] And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Malachi 4:1-3 – For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. [2] But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. [3] And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under
the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.
I do not expect immediate results from the events that are now coming to pass, as I outlined in our previous Blog, but I do believe, after more rockets and bloodshed, a truce will eventually be agreed to between the Gaza terrorist groups and Israel between 2008 and 2010.

Thursday any calm in the Gaza Strip, as proposed by Palestinian militant organization, could only be sustainable if three specific conditions were met.
Foreign ministry spokesman Ariye Mekel said the militant organizations must stop firing rockets and mortars at southern Israel, stop attacks inside Israel and on the Gaza-Israel border, and stop smuggling weapons into the enclave.
If these conditions were met, the calm would be sustainable, Mekel said.
Palestinian militant factions agreed in Cairo Wednesday to a ceasefire in their fighting with the Jewish state.
Israel’s response to the truce proposal is expected to be given to Cairo next week.
