A NOTEWORTHY WEDNESDAY BIRTHDAY!
HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY, COMMON MARKET!
WHERE IS YOUR GREAT LEADER ANTICHRIST
?
Fifty years ago, as I served and issued FBUK Warnings in England, the European Common Market “Six” was forming. I literally watched its small parliament come into existence when it was actually happening in the European zone where I was living at the time. The Soviet Union was at its zenith.
The world lived in constant fear of the final war of the great nuclear war between the United States and the West against the Soviet Union and China.
The world eventually was flooded with a publication titled “The Late Great Planet Earth,” perhaps the most popular prophetic offering of any century. For the last 34 years of my life I have shouted from the roof tops, and written three books to warn any who would listen, that the major tenants of the Hal Lindsey’ s book are incorrect.
A generation of prophetic teachers bought into it, and its major themes are still the basis for prophetic proclamations made daily by the popular prophetic buffs on worldwide television.
The major teachings in his book, with which I vehemently disagreed, were Lindsey’s assertions that:
1. The Antichrist would come out of Europe.
2. He was to immediately arise there after the tenth horn of Daniel 7 and Revelation was added to the original six horns of the common market, which also represent the ten toes of Daniel 2.
3. The rapture, or catching out of the saved, would occur before this European Antichrist attacked Israel leading the first six common market nations, plus the four, which at that time were to soon be quickly added
to make a total of ten. The European Antichrist was to be the eleventh horn.
Well, it has been fifty years, and still no European Antichrist.
And now the Daniel’s statue has 27 toes, and his, as well as John’s beast, has 27 horns. Now, most of the prophetic world is till trying to revive a horse that died when the toes passed their predicted limit in the last century, and as Europe turned into a land filled with followers of Islam. And the prophetic world is still attempting, with each little minor quiver of a heartbeat in the EU of 27 nations, to say NOW it will rise to be a people led by the European Antichrist.
I am acutely aware that the prophetic teachings of any individual, other than the writers of the Bible, are subject to change, and I am certainly aware that Brother Lindsey wishes he could rewrite things he wrote in all of this books, especi
ally since I would like to rewrite a few things in my books, as well as in my early Prophecy Archives. However, once you publish something, it is as if it is engraved in stone, and you are stuck with it until the Second Advent of Christ. In the last century I was quite confident Israel would be attacked at some point in time between 2003 and 2008, and
the attack would mark the beginning of the last three and one-half years of the tribulation period.
However, I invariably included the statement: “But if I wake up on New Year’s Day of 2008, I will just say I was wrong, and continue to believe the attack would occur soon.” Well, in 2006, before I woke up on New Year’s Day of 2008, I simply admitted
I was wrong. So, my rejection of Hal Lindsey’s views is not personal. I rather like him, and give him credit for waking up America to the awareness the rise of Antichrist and the catching out of the saints was not some far distant event.
I implore you to take a look at what was taught by most orthodox prophetic teachers before 1827 about Daniel’s 70th Week. It is fully exposited in our Prophecy Archives on Updates 230B, 231, 231A, 231B, 232, 232A, 232B, 232C, 233, and 233A.
Also please scan Updates 73D, 74A, 76, 78A, 82A, 114A, 144A, 144F, and 219B for the position held on the catching out of the saints prior to 1740.
How will you ever be so certain what I advocate is wrong if you have never considered the proofs I offer to its validity. I confess it is certainly not something new in that I leaned it from the writings of men of God who wrote prior to the twentieth century, many of them prior to the nineteenth, some of them prior to the eighteenth century, and a few of them prior to the seventeenth century. Where they all wrong and the modern day writers correct? It is your call – I hope you make it!
