US & ISRAEL TALKS ON NUCLEAR IRAN
MOST IMPORTANT OF ANNAPOLIS TALKS FOLLOW IT!

The most important talks outlined in the November 26 blog are now about to take place.
Quite frankly, the number of Arab nations attending the Annapolis meeting surprised me, but it shocked Iran from the top of its head to the tip of its toes. The fear of Iran being the only Arab nation with nuclear weapons, which can be launched against any Arab nation in the Middle East, has thrown many of the Arab nations into a panic, as well as the European Union which, according to Iran’s latest boast, will also be in harm’s way of Iranian nuclear missiles.
If Israel and the US are going to knock out the Iranian nuclear facilities, the beginning of 2008 would be a good time, as we indicated in previous blogs.
Even Russia and China would benefit from a destruction of the Iranian nuclear facilities, because they would be the nations Iran would use to rebuild its destroyed facilities, and the oil revenues would keep on flowing into their coffers. All the Arab nations, China, and Russia can be expected to scream to high heaven over such an attack, but secretly they would be delighted to see the real Middle East threat to them weakened. Russia is well aware that the southern flank of the old Soviet Union was made up of nations with majorities of populations composed of Islamic believers, so they are not really comfortable with the idea of a fruit cake in Iran having a deliverable nuclear warhead.
The flow of Iran oil revenues into Russian for military hardware and construction of nuclear associate facilities has saved the Russian economy, but now it would like to limit Iran’s nuclear threat.

Iran claims new missile can strike Israel, U.S. bases

LONDON – Fears of a new Middle East arms race deepened yesterday after Iran announced that it had developed a new long-range missile system capable of hitting Israel and U.S. bases in the region.
The successful development of the Ashura missile, which Iran claims has a range
of 2,000 kilometres, was announced by Defence Minister Mostofa Mohammed Najjar. France immediately condemned the announcement and gave warning that the West needed to be “extremely vigilant with regard to Iran’s actions and intentions.” The development came as it was revealed that Syria is negotiating with Russia to purchase anti-aircraft missile systems capable of shooting down Israeli warplanes.
Lebanese military officials have reported that the Syrians have made an urgent request to Moscow for the shoulder-fired SA18 anti-aircraft system to protect it from attack by Israel.
The Lebanese also suspect that the Syrians aim to pass some of the missile systems to Hezbollah, the radical Lebanese Shia Muslim militia with close ties to Damascus. The Syrians are set to receive the new missiles by the end of the year, according to the officials. Syria and Iran, which signed a mutual defence pact two years ago, have been working closely together on developing long-range missiles and improving their air defences.
Recent attempts by Tehran and Damascus to develop more effective missile systems have resulted in a series of unexplained accidents, including the deaths of several scientists in September.
Iran has repeatedly warned that it would target U.S. bases in the region if it came under attack over Tehran’s refusal to halt its controversial uranium enrichment program.

he second Article 2 shows the fear of a bully when his bluff is called. If anything is going to cause Iran to let the UNIAEA to once again be allowed to monitor all nuclear facilities in Iran, it will be the real fear of an aerial attack on their concealed sites
.
The private meeting between Israeli PM Olmert and President Bush will be addressing that question, and deciding what to do if Iran continues to refuse let the IAEA back in country.

Ahmadinejad: Israel doomed to collapse
TEHERAN, Iran, THE JERUSALEM POST
November 28, 2007
Israel is doomed to “collapse” and the US-brokered Middle East peace conference was a “failure”, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Wednesday, lashing out at the Annapolis gathering that many saw as aimed at isolating Iran.
The comments were the first time in months that the hard-line Ahmadinejad has used such strong anti-Israeli rhetoric, highlighting Tehran’s bitterness towards Tuesday’s conference, which its closest Arab ally Syria attended.
“It is impossible that the Zion
ist regime will survive. Collapse is in the nature of this regime because it has been created on aggression, lying, oppression and crime,” Ahmadinejad said after a Cabinet meeting, according to state-run television.
“Soon, even the most politically doltish individuals will understand that this conference was a failure from the beginning,” he said, the official IRNA news agency reported.
Iran has repeatedly condemned the Annapolis conference, saying it would fail to bring any peace for the Palestinians and warning that
it will discredit Arab countries who participated. Iran on Tuesday expresses surprise that Damascus participated in the gathering, though it has stopped short of directly criticizing its ally.
Ahmadinejad said the Palestinian “resistance” – such as Hamas, which is backed by Teheran – must have a say in any settlement.
“Many such meetings have been held but have failed,” he said. “If decision is made about Palestine, representatives of the elected Palestinian government and resistance should be there and the rights of the Palestinian people – self-determination, the right of voting and return of refugees – must be recognized,” he said.
Ahmadinejad has raised controversy in the West with past predictions of Israel’s eventual destruction, including a comment saying it should be “wiped off” or “disappear” from the map – and even critics at home said his inflammatory speeches were needlessly provoking the West against Iran.
