Most Christian interpreters believe it to be a deep revelation of Christ’s love for the Church as his Bride.

Isaiah 35:1-10

Song of Solomon 2:2
As the (faithful church) lily among (unfaithful churches) thorns, so is my love (faithful church) among the daughters (unfaithful churches).

Hebrews 5:12 to 6:12
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. [13] For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. [14] But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. I Corinthians 9:24-27
Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. [25] And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. [26] I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: [27] But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

The saved will not be rejected from heaven, but many will be castaways from bridal relationship with Christ, many will be rejected from the city of the New Jerusalem, many will have their works burned as thorns by the fire of judgment.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU BUILD ON THE FOUNDATION OF YOUR SALVATION.

1 Corinthians 3:11-17
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. [12] Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; [13] Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. [14] If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. [15] If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by (through) fire. [16] Know ye not that ye (plural) are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in (among) you? [17] If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are (plural).

Song of Solomon 2:3a
As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my (church) beloved (Christ) among the sons.

Luke 10:38-42
Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. [39] And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. [40] But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. [41] And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: [42] But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
