A SALVATION REST AND A TEACHING REST – PART 1

SINLESS SEED JESUS OVERCAME DEVIL FOR ADAM INHERITANCE

John 1:1-3
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. Revelation 21:7 – He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

THE REST WE RECEIVE AT SALVATION

Matthew 11:28
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Romans 8:16
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God (There is an instantaneous relief of rest from condemnation we receive when we finally come to him to save us)

THE REST WE RECEIVE AS HE TEACHES US

Matthew 11:29
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of (from) me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

THE FIRST THING HE TEACHES US IS THE SECURITY OF THE BELIEVER IN HIM.

John 5:24
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Romans 8:34-39
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. [35] Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? [36] As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. [37] Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. [38] For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, [39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

II Timothy 1:12,13
For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed for I know whom I have believed and am persuad-ed that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. [13] Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 11:29
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of (from) me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

John 19:30
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Ephesians 1:2-4
Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. [3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: [4] According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Hebrews 4:10-15
For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. [11] Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. [12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. [13] Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. [14] Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. [15] For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. [I John 1:9]
