There is Shiite Cunning in Nasrallah’s Cry to Lebanon
to Unite!

The following statement by Hizbullah Chief Hassan Nasrallah is, without question, one of the most blatant distortions of truth issued from Islamic lips during the last 60 years of conflict
with Israel. It cont ains three b
ald-faced lies in a seven word sentence. These are the types of leaders to whom dialog and diplomacy mean nothing, and why it is absolutely impossible for a true peace to come to the Middle East prior to the return of the Messiah.
Nasrallah said “our campaign is peaceful, civilian and civilized.”
Nasrallah has no desire to fight a civil war in Lebanon to take over the government
by force. He lost most of his military arsenal of men and weapons in last year’s war with Israel, and he is just now getting them restocked to even higher levels in quantity and quality.
He has no desire to deplete it again in a war with the Lebanese Army. He would much prefer to take power by threats, fear, and intimidation, which would lead to a coup, thereby allowing him to keep his military power intact, as well as that of the Lebanese Army, which he would control after a bloodless coup. Cooperation and unity to Nasrallah mean “my way or the highway.” A “united and unified” Lebanon, in Nasrallah’s vocabulary, means one in which he controls the process that unites it, and then maintains the unification by force thereafter.
However, one way or the other, by civil war, bloodless coup, or “Fifty-Four Forty or Fight,” Hizbullah, Syria, and Iran are determined to gain control of the Lebanese government. It will be a huge plus when they eventually attack Israel.

Nasrallah calls for Lebanon to unite
Hezbollah chief says party ready for settlement, US Administration seeks to plant discords.
August 8, 2007
BEIRUT – Hezboll ah chief H
assan Nasrallah said on Friday his party was ready for a settlement of the political crisis in Lebanon.
“We are ready for a settlement internally,” said Nasrallah, the charismatic Shiite leader who has been spearheading
the opposition against the government.
Lebanon has been in deep political crisis since November when six ministers, including five Shiites, stepped down from the government, demanding the formation of a cabinet with greater representation.
Nasrallah was speaking amid tensions in the country ahead of Sunday’s crucial by-elections to replace two MPs killed earlier this year in attacks blamed by the ruling majority on Syria. Damascus has denied the accusations.
Reiterating a call for a national unity government to help resolve Lebanon’s months-long political deadlock, the black-turbanned Nasrallah said “Lebanon can only overcome its crisis with cooperation and unity.”
“Lebanon cannot be divided, both practically and objectively.
And we do not seek to control the government, or control the state,” he said in a speech broadcast on huge screens before thousands of seated supporters in the eastern city of Baalbek.
“We are looking for a united and unified country which will protect Lebanon at a time … the US Administration is seeking to plant discords.”
“The American policy in Lebanon is pushing a Lebanese party to monopolize powers… and what is the result
? More crises,” he said.
Nasrallah said “our campaign is peaceful, civilian and civilized.”
“Weapons destroy the country and burn everybody. We have the power but using force inside the country is not in Lebanon’s interest. These arms are for the defense of Lebanon, and not to destroy Lebanon.”
“The arms of the resistance are not militia weapons” to be used against other Lebanese factions, said the leader of the Shiite militant group which held out against the Israeli army for 34 days in July and August 2006.
