CHRIST HAS PUT AWAY BELIEVER’S SINS BY HIS SACRIFICE
Hebrews 9:24-28 – For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: [25] Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; [26] For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now ONCE in the end of the world hath he appeared TO PUT AWAY SIN BY THE SACRIFICE OF HIMSELF. [27] And as IT IS APPOINTED unto men ONCE TO DIE, but after this the judgment: [28] So Christ was ONCE offered to bear THE SINS OF MANY; and unto them that LOOK FOR HIM shall he appear the SECOND time WITHOUT SIN unto salvation.
CHRIST REMOVED BELIEVER’S FEAR OF DEATH’S STING
I Corinthians 15:49-58 – And as WE HAVE borne the image of the earthy, WE SHALL also bear the image of the heavenly. [50] Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. [51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we SHALL ALL BE CHANGED. [52] IN A MOMENT, IN THE TWINKLING OF AN EYE, at the LAST trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. [53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. [54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. [55] O DEATH, WHERE IS THY DEATH, WHERE IS THY STING? O grave, where is thy victory? [56] THE STING OF DEATH IS SIN; AND THE STRENGTH OF SIN IS THE LAW. The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. [57] But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. [58]Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
BELIEVER’S LACK OF FEAR OF DEATH IS THE LIGHT OF GOD
Matthew 5:14-20 – Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. [15] Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. [16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. [17] Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. [18] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. [19] Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. [20] For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
BELIEVER’S RIGHTEOUSNESS EXCEEDS PHARISEE’S ZERO
Romans 10:1-10 – Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. [2] For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. [3] For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish THEIR OWN righteousness, HAVE NOT submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. [4] For Christ is THE END of the law for righteousness to every one THAT BELIEVETH. [5] For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. [6] But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) [7] Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) [8] But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man BELIEVETH UNTO righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. [11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. [12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. [13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
THE ONLY RIGHTEOUSNESS BELIEVERS HAVE IS THAT OF JESUS
